Daddy was a man with rare and open heart. Our unforgettable banter about Chelsea football, those playful arguments became our own special language. He loved my wife deeply and our children with a kindness that could be felt.
One moment I will never forget is when he chose to stay in a hotel so that I could stay in the house. That single act said everything about who he was; Welcoming, giving and full of life. He did not just open his home to me – he opened his heart.
